She is most famous for her portrayal of Willie Scott, an American nightclub singer and performer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by her husband Steven Spielberg. Starring in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986) and The Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895) as well as The Love Letter (1999) She has continued to be a star. The work of her portraits has been displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a travel agent and beautician, and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee of the airline. at the age of five she moved to St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw earned a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri, as also Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri.
