Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th of 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of life through her vivid and broad imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she could read or write. She got her first guitar at age 8 and began singing on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of eleven. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. While she was at school, she established a name for herself in the local music scene. Her goal was to be able to perform at a much greater size. When she graduated from high school in 1964 she immediately moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host in the late '60s, was looking for a female singer for his program. Parton signed with RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She was hired in the year 1967. She left Wagoner's show, but in 1974, because her albums on her own like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it reached Number. This was the first time a single hit the top spot.
