Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, host of a TV show and performer most well-known for her role as host of The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl was raised within Little Rock. Sheryl has a troubled family. Sheryl spent a large portion of her childhood helping her younger sister Frankie, who had polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl faced many difficulties with her mom. Sheryl claimed that at one time, her mother stabbed her father for being too close to the father. After her graduation from college, Sheryl became a military officer. However her interest lay in comedy. In 1989 she was the first woman in history to reach the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. In 1992, she began her TV debut as a regular participant on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. She also appeared in 2000 as a host on the TV program Oh Drama! She has appeared as host on The Talk since 2011. Additionally, she's appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series including Bulworth Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
