Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father was an Argentine with Scottish and English ancestral roots. Her mother is of Spanish and English ancestry. She was the youngest of a household comprised of six children. Four of her siblings are from her previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family was throughout Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy said that moving was traumatic and that she was unable to go back to school in English in the hope of return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the switched from Northlands. After that, she attended Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's productions. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school to follow a full-time career path in acting. Taylor-Joy knew from the beginning that she wanted to work as an actress. She was given a opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her a modelling job.
